What are your favorite things?
This post is part of a series where I share my favorites I’m loving this month!

What are your favorite things?
I love finding out people’s favorite things!
So many of my favorites came into my life because a friend, family member, colleague, or sometimes a random person in the grocery store shared it with me. And I’m always so thankful they did.
Heck, I’ve even discovered some of my favorite rugs in my house from a friend’s recommendation!
These can simple, inexpensive (or sometimes expensive) things that make your life better or bring you happiness, or a both!
This is the kind of the stuff you text your friends about! Or If you were hosting or going to a Favorite Things Party, it’s what you would gift everyone there.
What qualifies as a favorite thing?
This can literally be anything from a podcast episode, a game-changing household essential, delicious recipe (for easy weeknights or holidays), book you get into bed early to read, skincare product that actually works, a really comfortable pair of shoes, or a toy your toddler will be obsessed with. And everything else in between.
This inspired me to share with you my monthly favorites. The favorites I’d definitely text you about.
Here’s my list of my 5 favorites this month…
#1 My skincare products for my very simple and low maintenance skincare routine
Full disclosure: I prefer both a very low maintenance skincare routine and as non-toxic skincare products as possible.
But I also want to skincare products that actually work and feel luxurious.
Since becoming a wife and mom who works full time, I’ve discovered how important and cup-filling it is to carve out some time to take care of yourself each day.
Basically what this means is investing in my skincare products and routine = taking care of myself.
After years of searching, I have finally found a variety of skincare items that I truly love to use and are so good, even if it’s as simple as my chapstick.
And what I’ve come to realize is it’s truly amazing what spending 5 minutes each morning and night pampering myself has done to how I start and end my day.
So here are my favorite skincare holy grails…
Bioelements Skin Editor

If I could only use one skincare product for the rest of my life, there’s a good chance it would be this one.
Whenever I consistently use it, I almost always get compliments on or questions about how healthy my skin looks.
Bioelements Collagen Rehab + Kerafole Face Masks

These face masks are THE BEST. Trust me on this one!
Pro tip: Buy the 1.7 oz size to try them out and save money!
Burt’s Bees Apricot Scrub

Tried and true! And your face feels so smooth after using!
DANI Naturals Lotion + Exfoliating Sugar Scrub

I’ll never forget the first time I used this lotion because it just worked that well.

A friend of mine gifted me this exfoliating sugar scrub in Bamboo Bergamot, and it instantly became one of my favorites!
I like to use this when I take a bath. My skin feels so luxurious and radiant after using this exfoliating sugar scrub! And they all smell heavenly.
In fact, I now regularly gift it, and it’s always a hit!
Olio E Osso Shave Oil

That same friend also gifted me a set of these oils (she’s a really good gift giver!) and this became an instant obsession for me.
Whenever I apply it, I feel soooo pampered.
Epsom Salt (poured in my bath with a good book + a candle)

If you have never added epsom salt to your bath, you are seriously missing out!
One of my favorite things to do is, after tucking my daughter in for bed, I draw a bath, pour about 2 cups of epsom salt in, apply exfoliating sugar scrub and a face mask, and settle into a good book.
Afterwards, as I crawl into bed, I’m so cozy and relaxed! It’s absolutely wonderful.
Ilia Volumizing Mascara

I’ve long been a drugstore mascara kind of gal until I found this clean volumizing mascara! Now it’s all I wear.
Vitamin C Serum

This Vitamin C Serum has a cult following for a reason!
I instantly look more refreshed, radiant, and have a glow after using.
Lush Celestial Facial Moisturizer

This stuff leaves my skin feeling velvety soft! It also smells divine!
#2 The book Wedding People: A Novel by Alison Espach

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a book this much.
It was such a delightful read that I was getting into bed early just so I could read it!
#3 Favorite: My collection of mugs

Yes, you read that right. Let me explain.
Whenever I would stay at someone’s house or an Airbnb, and there are an assortment of mugs to pick from, it always feels special.
For whatever reason, it’s this simple gesture that makes me happy.
In fact, my husband is even on board with the idea. Just the other morning he said to me, “it’s so fun picking out my mug every morning to drink my coffee out of!”
So, whether I’m making my morning latte, having an evening cup of tea, or eating ice cream out of it (IYKYK), my collection of mugs is one of my favorite things that always makes me happy.
Here are four more mugs I love: Red Floral Mug, Blue Heirloom Stoneware, Bouquet, Polish Pottery
#4 If you’re a fan of Align Leggings from Lululemon, these will become instant favorites

These leggings have been a staple for me every since I discovered them.
I’ve also been wearing their ultra comfy bike shorts (these ones have pockets!) and super cute and flattering tennis skirt on repeat all Summer, and third trimester of pregnancy, long
#5 Listening to the audiobook, Activate Your Future Self by Mimi Bouchard

Part 1 of this monthly favorite is, if you have Spotify premium, you can now access tons of audiobooks for free – including this one.
If you haven’t gotten into world of audiobooks, I highly recommend you do!
I’ve discovered that listening to audiobooks makes evening chores, like putting the kitchen to bed :), dare I say enjoyable. And I’ve really grown to love listening to audiobooks (or podcasts) in the car.
Part 2 of this monthly favorite is the book itself! It was truly life-changing, and I cannot recommend it enough.
Mimi also has an equally incredible and life-changing app called Activations.
What are your monthly favorites? The things you text your friends about? I’d love to hear in the comments.
