Baking bacon in the oven is a total game-changer!
I’m telling you, once I discovered that you can bake bacon in the oven it was a total game-changer for me! Now, it’s the only way I make it!
It just might be my easiest recipe (if I can even call it that?!)!
Anytime I can put something on a sheet pan to throw in the oven, I’m a fan.
And, to be honest, I was never that great at cooking bacon in a skillet. But this method is tried and true, and will make the most perfect, just-the-right-amount-of-crispy bacon every time. And it’s just so simple!
Oh, and clean up is a breeze! Pro-tip, make sure your parchment or aluminum foil is larger than your sheet pan so the grease doesn’t spill over.
Ways to use your oven-baked bacon…
You might be thinking to yourself, “ummm don’t I just eat it for breakfast???”
YES! Of course!
But there are a few other reasons why you should start baking your bacon in the oven and never look back…
- You can cook a lot of bacon to have on hand for breakfasts during the week. After your cooked bacon has cooled, just store it in a container and keep it in your refrigerator.
- It will make the prep work for recipes like this one easier.
- Easily make your own bacon bits to add to salads or soups.
- One of my favorite salads with bacon is: romaine topped with bacon, bleu cheese, tomato, and a squeeze of lime.
- BLTs for dinner!
