This post is all about teacher outfits!

Now putting together your teacher outfits is the easiest part of your week!
Goodbye sweater weather! Teaching outfits for Spring are just so fun! There are the prettiest colors, sweet ribbed and flutter sleeve details, and patterns on patters on patterns. And, as wonderful as a good-fitting pair of jeans are, the warmer temps now now give us more choices aka dresses, skirts, and jumpsuits!
The key to refreshing your work wardrobe for Spring is getting pieces that you can mix-and-match, they can transition with the change in temperatures, they are good quality and comfortable to teach in all day, you feel cute in them, and not too expensive.
No big deal! 😉
Don’t worry, this post has you covered and checks all of those boxes!
When it comes to putting together teacher outfits for Spring, versatility is key. You need pieces that can keep you warm and on the cooler side once it starts to warm up. And sometimes you need outfits that can do both of these things in the same day!
Wearing layers is particularly helpful with this. Also, you can pair a long sleeve with a cardigan, jeans, and boots when it’s chillier, and then wear that same long sleeve with cropped pants and sandals once it warms up.
Once it’s too warm for a long sleeve, you can swap that out for a short sleeve blouse or T-shirt, and wear that with those same jeans and sandals.
Why spending a little more on shoes is 100% worth it…
Shoes are one of the few elements of my wardrobe where more often than not I can’t call them super budget-friendly. Believe me, I’ve tried to find budget-friendly teacher shoes. But comfort is a non-negotiable for me.
One trick is to pin the shoes you want to buy and then look to see if they are discounted for around the time things typically go on sale (oftentimes they are!).
But at the end of the day, after walking and standing on tile/concrete/whatever hard material classroom floors are, my body aches are always in proportion to the price tag.
After years of hunting for shoes that don’t break the bank or your back, I’ve come up empty handed. The most inexpensive I’ve found are these Birkenstocks for $50.
If you do the math, they are budget friendly in the long run because they don’t wear out as fast. They’re an investment. And I never have thought to myself “Man, I’m so mad I spent $100-$150 on these shoes so my feet don’t hurt at the end of the day!”.
The bottom line? I think paying more for shoes is totally worth it.
Without further adieu, here are the best Spring picks for teacher outfits…
Hopefully after reading this post, putting together outfits to teach in for Spring will now be something you look forward to!
