This post is all about how to make the easiest crockpot shredded chicken!

You’ll never make shredded chicken any other way ever again!
This super simple crockpot shredded chicken is the best because you can throw everything in your crockpot in the morning (or at least 4 hours before you need it to be cooked) and then by dinner time you’ll have delicious and tender chicken that basically shreds apart on its own.
The versatility of this recipe is so convenient too! Click here to see the different ways you can prepare/use your crockpot shredded chicken. Something else you keep in mind is you can double or triple the recipe and freeze what you don’t use.
I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!

Note: This Crockpot Shredded Chicken recipe will make enough shredded chicken for a family of 4 and will provide leftovers. I recommend doubling the recipe and freezing whatever you don’t need so you have it on hand.
Step 1: Drizzle 3 tablespoons of olive oil in Crockpot.
Step 2: Place 2-3 chicken breasts in pot (more if you are doubling the recipe – see note above).
Step 3: Drizzle 1ish tablespoon of olive oil on top.
Step 4: Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Step 5: Pour broth so broth is about 2 inches higher than chicken.
Step 6: Cover and cook on low if you won’t be serving for at least 6 hours; cook on high if you’ll be serving in 4-5 hours or until fork tender.
Step 7: Enjoy!
