Tips for hanging your art + putting it on display

If you like a formula, there is a rule called the “2/3 rule”, and it is that whatever you’re hanging should be about 2/3 of the size of whatever you’re hanging it above (sofa, headboard, dresser, etc.).

Another formula (if that’s your style), is the rule of thumb to hang your pictures so the center is at eye level, which is usually about 57-60 inches above the floor.

But you can also throw these rules out the window! A small piece of art can look so sweet above a bed or a washer and dryer and sometimes a giant piece of oversized art just works in an unassuming place of your home.
